Elin was amazing and so much fun and super sweet! We did a portrait shoot at the Santa Monica pier together and she was helpful in directing with some poses and making me feel very comfortable. FAQ
Will it be awkward? I don’t know how to pose.
Not to worry! I don’t expect you to know how to pose and I understand that not everyone feels natural in front of a camera. If you’ve seen me on social or my portfolio, you’ll notice I’m not the “stand there, smile, look at the camera” type of photographer. I aim to get you in good light, and capture the authentic, natural moments. I will guide and direct the shoot every step of the way, giving you prompts and adjusting as needed.
When will the photos be ready?
You can expect your gallery within 2 weeks. “Rush” is available for an additional fee of $75.
Can I have the RAW files? Can I buy them?
No; you will receive professionally retouched, completed images. The final photo I deliver is part of my artistic expression, skillset and presentation. Every image is retouched individually to the standard that you’ve seen me present throughout my portfolio and social media. You will receive your images in its completed full resolution JPEG form in a professional online gallery.
Can I see a complete client gallery?
Of course! Click / tap HERE. This was a 90 minute shoot.
Should I get professional hair and makeup done?
I strongly recommend it. Makeup is less noticeable on camera than it is with the naked eye. You may feel like you’re wearing a lot of makeup, but it will look softer in your photos.
Keep in mind…
The closer photoshoots get to graduation dates, the busier campus gets. This means that we may have to wait our turn for popular campus spots which will eat into photoshoot time. For this reason, you may want to book 2 weeks or before graduation, or in the days after the ceremonies are complete.
60 minute sessions can cover up to 3 nearby locations, while 90 minute shoots will allow us to move around campus more.
Events around campus may impede or limit our shoot. If Royce Hall and Powell Library are a MUST for you, please be sure you book a date that an event is not scheduled. You can view the events here.
